I was scrolling down my news feed on Facebook and someone posted a link to this REALLY great video: Enjoy The Ride
DON’T THINK TWICE, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO.
Even if you’ve watched this video or came across it a long time ago, it wouldn’t hurt to watch it again and again.
These sort of videos always seem to have a profound effect on people: reminding us of important things in life that we should’ve never forgotten in the first place but that we’re always bound to forget—only through constant practice then will we have less tendency to forget about these essential things in life, and in the process, we’ll know that we’ve become a better person and a better companion, and that we’ve actually improved not just our own well-being, but other’s as well.
*so deep*
Apparently, the “author of this powerful video is unknown”. That’s disappointing, but great in a way: perhaps he, or she, made the video solely to influence and remind people, and not to get credit or fame (it is a powerful video).
If the video had no effect on you, then you mustn’t’ve paid enough attention to it. Or maybe you expected too much out of it.
Hmm. *thinks of the bad effect of over-expectation*
Over expectation always leads to disappointment.
OK, it wasn’t a powerful video! It wasn’t even good!
*HAHAHA apakan*
Take a 10-30 minute walk every day and while you walk, smile.
Live with the 3 E’s: Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy and the 3 F’s: Faith, Family, Friends.
Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn and pass all your tests. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
Your job won’t take care of you when you’re sick. Your friends will stay in touch.
Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. Make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
