Lest Disaster Strikes

Top 10 myths that just might save your life in the face of disaster.

Important: [From myth #1] Make sure you read those “annoying safety briefing cards” from the backseats of airplanes. These instructions which can seem trivial for some (not until signs of a disaster comes up, anyway) give our brains “something to work with in advance.”

Reading myth #10, I wonder if I’d be able to muster the courage to jump into a frozen or a fast-flowing river to try to save drowning victims. I might be able to, but there would be a pretty high chance that I end up drowning myself. Hmm. I guess I’ll just keep trying to improve my swimming.
