Living and Working

Although I felt that I was fortunate to be able to get the job I mentioned about—the one at Yih Fa as an assistant technician—I am now counted as an unemployed person, BOO!

For a number of reasons, I stopped working after only 5 days. Actually, it would’ve been 4 days—I didn’t manage to quit the first time I tried to; the mistress talked me into saying ‘YES’ and I ended up complaining about myself—but the second time I asked for permission to resign, I was saved by the elder mistress (the mistress’ mom), as without her sympathy (and consequently the mistress’ agreement to let me go), I wouldn’t’ve been able to win the ‘debate’ with the mistress. Banarnya it was still possible to win it, if I simply ran off and inda datang lagi HAHA.

My decision was, in a way, a burden to the company as they went into the trouble of training and taking care of me (which explains why the mistress did not want to let me go). But to be frank, although I’m just Zimin (HAHA Bahri’s joke dalam my graduation magazine page), I think that the company’s better off without me, and it was better that I quit sooner than later, too. I’m quite the careless person, so anxiety was sometimes almost overwhelming, plus I didn’t really enjoy the work, plus I don’t think I was suited for the job, plus there were others that wanted the job and most of all, I needed a rest from the hectic, busy working life. *labih, padahal baru 5 hari* I actually needed the rest pasal my sleeping pattern balum adjusted (though it’s getting worse now).

For now, aku tunggu replies and look for more possible jobs that I THINK I would actually enjoy.
