Sebenarnya BANYAK pulang kamu rugi. HAHAHAHA. But too bad the others didn't get to join, especially dorang si Mei Ping, Adeq, Kahar, Sim and Faris.
DLF means dear little friend, btw. I got that while watching the Chronicles of Narnia movie and decided to give that nickname to our friend Daus, HAHA. Daus doesn't mind, ia sudah approve hari atu, kan Dao? ;D
The day started by everyone meeting up in school at 9 AM. The air was humid as I remembered, macam bekas hujan, and as my car was approaching the school, it was really weird when I saw almost everyone (Bahri, Daus, Zudin, Michelle, Hanis and Fadhil) standing around in the carpark, or kalau inda diri-diri, main rugby.
Shortly after I came, dorang si Amal, Imi, Khaliq and Rifah pun datang in Amal's van; keep up the carpooling guys! HAHA. So, while waiting for Ainul to come, all of us went to the canteen and back to the carpark to shoot a few scenes (in school) for the video that we're hoping to complete for the school's Environmental week, as one of our projects for the MS Youth Initiative Club.
After that, when all of us were ready and set to go, our first destination was the Sungai Akar dumpsite, or as I call it, Brunei's Tong Sampah. We headed out using three cars (two cars wouldn't really fit): Amal's van, Michelle's Proton and Fadhil's 'Initial Dil' HAHA. ;D
The 3 cars we carpooled in!
Setting foot outside the dumpsite, I really didn't know how much WORSE it would've been if we had set foot INSIDE the place; standing at the entrance was unbearable enough. I'm kinda exaggerating, tapi BANAR, bebau ah, mihir lagi tu, colourful pulang, tapi gila mihir wang.
Brunei's Tong Sampah.
We parked outside the entrance but decided to go into the dumpsite in one car (with the van), and we did. We took pictures and Bahri recorded the scenes on Ayub's handycam, but we all made the decision not to go in any deeper, pasal payah.
Although the dumpsite was still smelly and unbearable to the eyes, I felt that there were improvements made. I remembered the place being far much smellier and I thought that there were MORE rubbish (produced by 'handal' Bruneians; we produce SO much per capita) laid around in the place (lots near the entrance), but yesterday it seemed to me that there were less. Or they might have moved the ones near the entrance deeper inside the place, supaya lagi 'bisai'.
Our next destination was the Berakas beach. It rained along the way, but I stopped worrying when the rain stopped pouring. Reaching the place, I was awed by the beauty and serenity of the Berakas beach, but I was probably the one least awed, if you asked me. I was really surprised that there was a beach this pretty and peaceful with good facilities provided around the place in Brunei. There was even this dam-like structure which was high but you could still stand on top of the structure, macam you could imagine it as a man-made beach cliff.
HAHA napa Liq??
The Berakas beach plateau! Haha.
On top of the plateau.
HAHAHA Zudin was trying to hang on to the log.
HAHAHA.
Filming our introduction
We took lots of pictures, recorded scenes, ran around, played football (American) on top of the wide dam-like plateau and then decided to head to our next destination, probably after 45 minutes staying at the cool place.
Pose for the camera!

Playing on the swings with 'Big & DLF' HAHA.
Last but surely not least, we went to the *COUGH*Venice of The East*COUGH* that is the locally-infamous tourist attraction Kampong Ayer! We decided to tour around the Kg. Ayer using water taxis. The initial offer made by the first water taxi man was unfair, haggling by Amal made the offer go down from $60 (total sum) to $40 for the first water taxi person, so we decided to go elsewhere to find a cheaper water taxi, as we thought that the first one was hoping to exploit us. The second person we went to was this teenager who offered us $5 per person, which would sum up to $60, but again, Amal managed to haggle the price to $2 per person (total sum of $24). Handal si Amal ani haggling. It wouldn't've worked if I was in charge of haggling, payah ah, naik pulang kali the price HAHAHA. They need the income wah, kesian jua tu HAHAHA.
Taking pictures on a new monument.
Riding the boat! I decided not to post other variations of this picture pasal aku control brabis arah those pictures HAHAHAHA.
Haha cali si Daus.
So the boy gave us a 15-to-20-minute (I think) tour around Kg. Ayer, showing us places of rubbish floating around, to allow us to take photos and videos. One time, we reached this place tempat banyak sampah on the bank, the boat-driver slowly drove us nearer to the bank (to look a bit more closely at the numbers of rubbish and the 'wildlife', as Daus called the biawaks living amongst the sampah) but suddenly, the boat's propeller got stuck in nets and the boy had to get the nets off the propeller which probably took around 5 minutes. Most of us weren't really concerned, but Rifah and Ainul weren't as lucky; throughout the whole journey around Kg. Ayer, they were mostly feeling sick and nauseous, and I think it made them scared when the boat was stranded (temporarily) because of the nets.

After the fun boatride (my first ever Kg. Ayer boatride!) we decided to have lunch at C.A. Mohammed. While everyone else went straight to Yayasan, Michelle, Fadhil, Daus, Zudin and me went to fetch the Proton and the Initial Dil which they parked far away from Yayasan. After getting the car, we went to the Yayasan's basement to park. The two cars had to go separately, because of a funny incident that I don't think I should mention. HAHA. Fadhil (with Zudin) had already parked his car, but Michelle had not.
Unexpectedly, a little accident occured involving Michelle's Proton and an evil wall at Yayasan. We thought that we had estimated correctly, that the bumper of the car was still a safe distance away from the wall while parking, but we were proven wrong as the car SMASHED onto the wall. At least that was how it sounded like. Michelle started crying, and DLF and I went out to look at the 'damage'. However, this 'damage' turned out to be something insignificant (relatively) as only the license plate was damaged (the letter 'B' and 'W' ganya tanggal), despite the LOUD crash that we thought we had heard. So that was weird. We calmed Michelle down and told her not to worry as it wasn't a big deal and assured her that her Dad wouldn't ever find out and that repairing it would be simple and cheap (they did that at a workshop in Serusop after eating lunch).
Filling hungry tummies at CAM.
HAHAH memoklen yo.
Lunch was delicious. I don't go to CAM often, but I thought that the Mee Goreng served in the Yayasan CAM was really yummy, compared to ones served in other branches.
Video-making ended, Sim, Kahar and Faris joined us and afterwards, we went to the ICC for the Pesta Kerjaya 2008, but it wasn't really fun. So we cut straight to street soccer-ing as we had planned earlier in the week, except that not everyone joined, some went home, but it was good enough, more of us were coming. We went too early though (but it wasn't far anyway, our venue was that open place near the Stadium Village's Squash place, which is just across ICC), the ball was with Azim, and he wasn't there yet, not for another 30 minutes, I think.
HAHAHAHAHA I'm not really sure what Zudin was acting like, memasang kali HAHA.
But I got the chance to drive a manual for the 3rd time, using the Initial Dil. The first and second ones I drove were using Wilson's Vitara and Michelle's Proton, and heck I have to admit that it's VERY fun to drive a manual car, with all the clutch pressing and gear-switching and all! Haha macam NOOB! 8D
For the rest of the afternoon, we played soccer and American football, but I wasn't as keen as I should be as I was too tired. Dao, our DLF was like, "Baie, I thought you guys said kamu rindu main!" HAHA. The day had to end and then everyone went home.
Playing street soccer!
Special guest: Syukri the ex-MS!
