Bite My Tongue

To start off, I'd like to wish everyone a belated "HAPPY WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY" greeting. I've learnt (from Amal's post on the MSY blog) that the slogan for this year is "Kick the habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy."

I stole this from the MSYouth blog (check it out here).

I had my Eco papers this morning and I thought that they were pretty tough, especially Paper 2's Section A. Damned exchange rates. D:

At least the exam's nearly over now; just one last paper to go! :D

Yesterday was a day filled with many fun events, and I'd been itched to log into Blogger and post, but I told myself not to do it, as I had to keep revising Economics (though my night was mainly occupied by sleep, plus a blackout!).

We had our MSYouth CCA and it was, to me, for the first time ever, a productive session! For the PU2's at least. Our members were divided into different tasks and everyone present seemed to be doing their jobs, I think.

Adeq led his Poster Competition team to judge the many posters done by the Form 1's and Form 2's, while Michelle's Adopt-a-Plant team brainstormed names (as well as personalities and birth dates) for the 40 plants to be put up for adoption as suggested.

The MS Youth Video team, headed by Amal, continued on the making (they did interviews with teachers) and editing of the video, and I'd say that Bahri is doing so much on the editing, the part of the process which has been proven to be the most difficult, but let's not forget Amal who has also done so much, including the interviews with the teachers! HAHA aku mau liat yang interview with Mr. Rockwell and you made him talk in Malay! :D

As for me and the others who didn't quite participate much at the start of this week's session, we helped Teacher Yani move the sculptures (from this year's Interhouse Environmental Sculpture Competition) from the small room near the library to the Lower Secondary HEP office. We also went to the 3rd floor of the Girls' Hostel to fetch Hulubalang's swan sculpture (the one from 2 years ago, I think).

The MS Environmental Week is in 3 more days, and I hope that the collective efforts we're making will be worth it and we'll be able to thank ourselves afterwards. :D But let's not forget other efforts which are done by other groups of the MS Youth.

I know that I told dorang si Daus, Khalisah, Azim, Hanis and Mona that I didn't go out for lunch when they told me that they thought I did, but I actually did. I went to the House of Curry in Lambak with dorang si Wilson, Zainul and Michelle. I had that feeling that it was better for me to conceal that fact, so I did, but I kinda felt guilty after that. Macam menipu for no reason haha. Ada pulang reason.

Afterwards would be the highlight of the day, but could very possibly be the most rugi part of the day. :|

I HAD MY FIRST DRIVING LESSON! For the first time ever, I drove in a jalan besar and it felt great! Tapi kan, baru kurang seminit atau dua minit aku arah jalan besar atu, ada tia ORANG ATU sama bapanya di lane sebelah, ikutkan pace kereta puting hijau (as Zati says it HAHA) ku, iatah macam spoil wah. Bahapa ya kah. *glares at Kahar*

HAHA awu wah, banarnya inda pulang kau spoil.

It was actually less harder than I thought driving a manual would be. My engine stalled THREE times; once just before I started driving the car, once after stopping on the side of the road to re-adjust my seat and once more at the U-turn just in front of the driving place (at the Stadium) just before my session had to end. Other than that problem, I also kept forgetting to switch back the signal after making turns. :|

I also found it funny the irony that for a few times while driving, I actually felt sleepy, despite how thrilling (kinda) and fun it was to finally start my driving lessons! HAHA.

Anyway, all I did during the whole one hour was talk and talk and keep driving and driving arah the big roads around the stadium, and the boring part was that I was only allowed to go 50 km/h at max; so all I could do was grab the chances to go 55-60 km/h everytime my teacher gets busy with her phone or notebook. :(

After the driving session, I volunteered to walk to the ICC to meet my mother.

Brunei's Sports Village.

What I meant by 'the most rugi part of the day' was the fact that the others went and enjoyed this environmental talk by an entertaining speaker from the Canadian High Commission; I had to give that up for my driving lesson, though I never really thought that the talk would've been as good as the others are saying it is now.

As quoted from Bahri's post:
As an end note, the speaker gave us his life principle which was the Tree Principle. He said that we are made of three things, our roots, trunk and branches and leaves. The roots symbolizes the people you are with who support you. The trunk is the part of yourself which you can never change which is your personality and attitude. Lastly, the branches and leaves symbolizes our skills and specialties.
There was this one thing he said which hit me the hardest. When he talked about the branches and leaves of our life, he mentioned that none of those will ever grow without knowledge. He said that, "Knowledge is like sunlight and it's up to you whether you want to absorb it or not".

That, I guess, was just a small part of his talk, but a significant one, and it may be hitting me as hard as it hit Bahri. But how really do you define KNOWLEDGE? Is knowledge equal to wisdom? Though surely, you would need to gain as much knowledge as possible through education to ensure higher chances of getting a good future, I think.

At night, while revising, there was a blackout in my kampong, and instead of finding it a trouble (as I had to revise), it was actually quite fun haha. Plus, I used that as an excuse for myself to stop revising for a while, though I still continued revising using the flashlight from my handphone.

Mana galap ni bui.

FLASH!

My companion HAHA.

Btw, Rifah and Bahri have been chosen by the school to attend interviews for the Sunburst Youth Camp. I wish I was chosen. :( HAHA. But to the both of them, GOOD LUCK. It would be cool if you guys got the places. Jangan lupa bali FHM untuk aku kalau kamu ke Singapore.

Oh, and the same goes to Mei Ping, jangan lupa balikan aku and Bahri FHM magazines masa cuti ani ah? HAHAHA. She's going to S'pore and Hong Kong (lurus kah?) for the upcoming holiday. SYOK. >:@

NOW THAT IT JUST OCCURRED TO ME, HOLIDAY'S IN ONE WEEK! :DD

AND, from what I've been hearing, si Zati and the other UK scholars are coming back to Brunei SOON. Though no one of them has actually told me the exact dates they are coming back. :|
