I’m sure you, or at least your friends, have been noticing how some Facebook users have been able to upload more than 60 photos into one album (it’s Facebook’s policy to allow only 60 photos per album).
I originally thought that people must have confused an “uploaded album” (which only allows 60) with an event’s, group’s or fan page’s photo collection (which can accommodate as many photos as you want).
So, last night, I did my own “research”. I felt compelled to do so as I tend to upload A LOT of photos from my camera. Being able to figure out how to get more than 60 per album and thus, not having to have to separate my photos into a couple of albums (with almost same album names), would make my life easier!
Well, here’s what I found out about being able to upload more than 60 photos per album:
1. Some theorize that the ones who have been able to upload more than sixty are those who use their iPhone’s program to upload their pics.
2. Some think that it’s a Facebook unresolved bug that only a handful, arbitrary number are given the advantage while most users aren’t.
3. Some think that only new users are able to do so.
4. Some think that you need to have uploaded thousands of pictures and albums to be able to do so.
My opinion sticks with #1 and #2, but not #3 or #4. And having known that, I guess I’m still stuck to having to create more than 1 album (for a batch of pictures) and naming them almost equally (the distinguishing thing would be whether they’re Part 1 or Part 2 or et cetera).
But rest assured, I found out that a possible way to bend Facebook’s rules of album uploading is by uploading only 59 photos in the album, and the rest of the photos afterwards through the manual uploading method.
OK, so that didn’t help much. It’s not like that’s been proven, anyway. So, here’s an even better way! Use this third-party program for Facebook:
Bloom won’t get you to put more than sixty photos in one album, but at least it can make your uploading process more efficient. What bloom does is that it allows you to simply drag-and-drop pictures (or folders) into its window and afterwards automatically uploads your photos and reliably breaks your photos into separate albums.
p.s. I didn’t really do much “research”. So, if you’ve got any reliable info, please tell me!
